I love flowers! I started the tradition of planting flowers with my daughters on Mother’s Day when they were tiny.
We would go to the store and I let them pick out the flowers. Once we got home, they chose which pots to plant them in. We had some pretty unique mixtures on occasion, but I loved them all.
While we certainly haven’t been able to do this every year (especially 2018!!),
we were lucky enough to do it this year.
We had a little fun planting during a few hours of sunshine before the next snowstorm comes in (I know, right?!).
Wishing all of you a Happy Mother’s Day.

Wow. We did this exact thing for the first time today. They each got to pick one nice potted flower (roses and peonies, my favorites). Now I have one beautiful flower for each kiddo, that will grow and blossom, right along with them. What a great tradition! Great minds think alike. ๐

It’s been chilly here in East Coast America, but I set out my fig plants and planted flowers, anyway!!

Kate – we got lucky and had a few hours of sunshine. I brought all of the pots in because today it is snowing ๐ I hope your figs and flowers are hardy and smile through the snow!
