Happy Pi Day!
You can take circular items you find around your house (cups, bowls, water bottles, etc) and trace around them to create your own circles. You can also download the two coloring sheets below.
In the picture above, I created Zentangles in my circles.
A Zentangle is an unplanned, unstructured pattern. The patterns are called ‘tangles’ and the act of drawing them promotes mindfulness and calm (the zen = peaceful and calm).
It’s a great activity to do with your child. You can each zentangle and color your own page or, as another option, you could zentangle a circle and then trade papers to add color.
Drop the need to be perfect – there are no rules other than to have fun.
